This classic (Feb built) 1987 BMW M3 E30 coupe with the popular Getrag Cross transmission, no repair history and only 79,724 kms was inspected for a client at HAA Kobe auction on 11 February 2017.
In excellent condition for age, this vehicle had clearly been loved, garaged and well maintained and was the best BMW M3 E30 coupe we have seen available in Japan to date. Engine was running perfectly, and mechanically fine.
Fitted with black leather seats with seat heaters, and a factory sunroof in good operation.
Note that some of the pictures show snow and in one picture with the boot open there is some ice due to how cold it was at auction that day.
Service records from 1995 / 97 / 99 and right up to 2011 were included with this M3 coupe together with 7 pages of other service notes and records, spare key, wheel lock nut, books etc.
Aftermarket strut bar fitted, engine covers painted etc. Otherwise standard condition.
A “paint wave” was noted on both doors by the auction grading staff, however paint colour all around the car matched and there was no sign of past repainting. No overspray, no sign of panels having been removed, all panel gaps correct, all seams and welds were factory.
One spot on the driver’s door looked like it had a paint touch up / repair which had then been polished.
Few small scratches to paintwork and some small scratches on the underneath of the front lip spoiler.
Underneath was original and unpainted with no sign of rust whatsoever.
This 1987 BMW M3 E30 coupe was eligible for import to Australia under the 1988 and older rule.

Whether you’re looking for a classic 1987 BMW M3 E30 coupe like this, or any other type of vehicle we can find it for you in nice condition.
The pictures are typical of the information we provide prior to auction for each vehicle of interest, with any faults shown so you can clearly see the condition before we discuss whether to bid, and your budget.
It is vital when sourcing your vehicle to use an agent that takes the time to physically check each vehicle and looks beyond the auction pictures and report to confirm condition. Some vehicles may have an unpleasant smoke or other odour, rust underneath, or other faults which are impossible to know without inspection.
