This 1993 Nissan Skyline R32 GTR was inspected for a client at USS Nagoya auction on 11 December 2015.
This is a good example of a vehicle WE WOULD NOT recommend / buy for our clients, and why we inspect all vehicles in person rather than relying on auction sheets.
It was quite rusty all over the body, but specifically in the rear wheel arches which had rust bubbling under the paint. So it had had significant use in snowy areas. The vehicle was also very dirty and appeared poorly maintained in the engine bay and elsewhere. Major service sticker indicated timing belt replacement in June 2002 at 96,407 kms. However, given the kms showing in late 2015 were only 126,766 km (30,000 kms travelled in 13 years), the total kms were somewhat open to question.
This vehicle sold for TBA YEN FOB. Total price in Australia at that time would have been approx. $TBA complied plus tyres and ORC’s (calculated at a rate of 89 yen to the dollar).
We only source the best vehicles with clean and tidy interiors, and only vehicles we would be pleased to own ourselves. This is why we are constantly told by clients that the vehicles we source are well above the condition of most others on the local market.
The pictures are typical of the information we provide prior to auction for each vehicle of interest, with any faults shown so you can clearly see the condition before we discuss whether to bid, and your budget.
Whether you’re looking for a 1993 Nissan Skyline R32 GTR like this, or another year, make or model, we can find it for you in nice condition.
It is vital when sourcing your vehicle to use an agent that takes the time to physically check each vehicle and looks beyond the auction pictures and report to confirm condition. Some vehicles may have an unpleasant smoke or other odour, rust underneath, or other faults which are impossible to know without inspection.
