This 2001 Nissan Skyline R34 GTR was inspected for a client at USS Nagoya auction on 15 September 2017.
Graded 4.5 A by the auction, so we were expecting a very clean example – unfortunately we were rather disappointed to see the extent of rust when inspecting this vehicle in person. This is a good example of why even high grade vehicles MUST be inspected in person.
Overall it was a solid car with 49,338 km. NISMO instrument cluster fitted at 33,900 km in August 2008, odo showing 15,438 km at auction.
TV screen had a line down the right side – this is a typical fault and eventually most R34 GTR’s will develop this problem.
Seats were a bit wrinkled, and steering wheel and shift knob were a little worn.
It ran well and the clutch felt good.
HKS EVC boost controller, OHLINS suspension, aftermarket ECU, BBS wheels as well as IMPUL and NISMO parts fitted, with a number of factory parts included in the car.
The major issue with this GTR though was the rust which while it appeared to be restricted to surfaces only rather than deep into the frame of the car, was extensive on the underbody and would need immediate attention to clean up and remove.
We did not bid on this vehicle as a result.
R34 GTR Prices ~ Where are they heading ?

We only source the best vehicles with clean and tidy interiors, and only vehicles we would be pleased to own ourselves. This is why we are constantly told by clients that the vehicles we source are well above the condition of most others on the local market.
The pictures are typical of the information we provide prior to auction for each vehicle of interest, with any faults shown so you can clearly see the condition before we discuss whether to bid, and your budget.
Whether you’re looking for a 2001 Nissan Skyline R34 GTR like this, or another year, make or model, we can find it for you in nice condition.
It is vital when sourcing your vehicle to use an agent that takes the time to physically check each vehicle and looks beyond the auction pictures and report to confirm condition. Some vehicles may have an unpleasant smoke or other odour, rust underneath, or other faults which are impossible to know without inspection.
