Toyota Estima 3L G Premium

I just received my imported family Van (Toyota Estima 3L G Premium edition).

Prestige Motorsport came recommended to me from two (independent) colleagues at work.

I won’t hesitate to say that Geoff gave me the very best customer service I have ever experienced.

Geoff is obviously very used to dealing with people who have endless lists of questions, and he does a brilliant job at addressing each and every one of these in a timely manner, (all with a great deal of patience). For what you would consider to be a very nervous experience (first time buying a car that you’ve never seen in another country) all the processes are pre-documented, clear to follow and work out exactly how they were described.

Prestige Motorsport have obviously dealt with all the caveats you would expect in this type of purchase, and so the resulting experience for me was very simple and smooth.

I took my time finding the right car too for our family, and I never felt pressured to hurry it along.

So… so far so good. The estimated final prices were accurate. The car is immaculate, even the compliance shop commented on what a great example it was and that Geoff had done very well. The after sales support has also been appreciated.

Thanks Geoff, you have my highest recommendation! I would not hesitate using your services again.

I’m the happy owner of a 2003 Toyota Estima 3L Aeras S, sourced via Prestige Motorsport.

The car is immaculate (how can a 10 year old car have no gutter scrapes on the wheels!) and drives really well. Although I had a little anxiety of buying a car sight unseen, Geoff’s professional approach and his checks and balances (minimising the chance of it being a lemon) made my purchase much easier.

I think the effort involved importing a car is definitely worth it. Once you are aware of the timeframe involved, and you narrow down the list of what you are after, the range of vehicles available in Japan is amazingly large compared to local options.

I have no hesitation in recommending Prestige Motorsport.

Cheers Geoff !

I am writing to thank Prestige Motorsport for their great service. Prestige Motorsport helped me purchase my 1995 R33 GTR VSpec from Japan. They were recommended by a friend as the best way to import a car from Japan and they were 100% correct. Prestige guide you through the process from when you start to look for your car till you receive it in your driveway. They remove as much risk from the operation as is possible. And in my case when I had some unexpected costs, Prestige took responsibility and ensured I was not out of pocket. A great example of customer service. If I import another car from Japan I will be using Prestige and so should you!

Skyline V35 350GT Premium

Hi Geoff,

Thank you so much for your guidance and advice throughout this whole process to import my 2003 Skyline V35 350GT Premium — it was an experience that I am thankful that I took the plunge into.

The car is going great and I really love driving it and getting the attention that goes with it, I ended up keeping the rims that came on the car as they do seem to suit it.  I may still change these down the track and potentially put some 20″ on it but not a priority at this point, currently looking to upgrade the stereo unit though.

I have had a lot of interest in the car from friends and strangers so I have passed your details onto a few people so hopefully they get with the program and look at importing a car through you.

I would also be happy to talk to anyone about my experience so feel free to put anyone in contact with me that would like to talk to someone who has gone through the process.  Thank you again for your patience and support and I look forward to the next time I am in need of a new car. Here is my review that I’ve posted for you on Facebook:

I recently imported my first V35 Skyline coupe through Prestige Motorsport, with the help and assistance of Geoff Risbey, who I cannot thank enough for his advice and support throughout this process. As this was my first time importing a car into Australia I was a little bit apprehensive on the idea, but I did some research on the net and came across Prestige Motorsport, after a bit more homework on the reviews and experiences of other people I felt confident that I had chosen the right broker to deal with.

Geoff was always ready and willing to give me as much or as little support as I wanted, he listened to what it was that I wanted and then with his guidance we worked out a rough budget and set about finding my dream car. The daily auction information that Geoff sent me was very helpful and if I found something that was of interest Geoff would discuss the car with me and provide his honest opinion on the car, if it was still a go he would then arrange an inspection of the car at the auction house through his connections in Japan. Geoff would then come back to me and discuss the findings and if he thought it was a prospective purchase, what impressed me was that Geoff was willing to wait until the right car came up and he never pressured me into buying a car he did in fact advise me not to purchase a couple of other cars.

Finally we found the one and commenced the auction process, it was a little nerve racking wondering if I was going to win the auction and then finally Geoff called me to give me the good news. From here Geoff then guided me through the process of exporting the car and then with the customs and compliance here in Adelaide.

Overall very impressed with the support throughout the process which made the whole thing quick an easy, and most importantly I felt confident in what was happening the whole time.
I am now the proud owner of a V35 and would highly recommend anyone considering importing a car to contact Geoff and draw on his years of experience, I know I will be doing so when I am next in the market for another car. Thank you again Geoff for your professionalism and support throughout this process it was a great experience and I am now loving my new car.

Hi Geoff,

Just wanted to say thanks for all the help you have given me over the past 4 or so months to source my 2011 V36 Skyline 370GT Type SP sedan. My friend has picked up the car and it seems to be in good order. Can’t wait to get back and drive it!  Anyway thanks for answering my questions and emails and keeping calm during the wait – it is much appreciated and I will definitely recommended you to anyone who is interested in importing a car.

Geoff provided amazing service while I was purchasing my 2007 V36 Skyline Sedan 350GT Type SP. His knowledge is outstanding on the process and is extremely proactive as is his communication and organisation. I had many many questions along the way and Geoff was always quick to get back to me with an answer or an update.
Cannot recommend Prestige Motorsport enough, I got an amazing car for an an equally amazing price. Thanks Geoff!

The Nissan Skyline R34 was an awesome awesome car, it was the best car I have ever owned. I kept it for 7 years … absolute trouble free, reliable, unique and a great drive.

It was hard to let go of, but with a growing family had to eventually trade it in … in the end after 7 years of good use ended up getting $14K trade in at a dealer, which was bloody good … considering it was a an import landed for $25K, 7 years earlier.

For now I now drive around in a Golf GTI which I bought brand new, but with a growing family we need a bit more room. That plus the fact that the German built VW has already started to develop squeaks and rattles I never experienced in my Skyline!! …

Right now I am having a look at the people movers (something with three rows of seats) and the officially available range on the Australian market is just awful … I don’t really like what I see. They are terrible value and very very low tech.

Was thinking about an E51 Elgrand a few months back but it is way too large for my wife to drive around so having a look at the Delica instead, which is a bit more compact.

Have been looking at the Delica D5 (2007) at the Parramatta dealerships … but I am a bit suspicious of the KMs having been wound back and tampered with by the Australian dealers. And now having done a back of the envelope calc with your import price calculator based on the recent auction prices you just sent through I don’t quite know how they (dealers) could offer their cars at the price they do without having wound back the KM’s (and make a profit).

So once the wife test drives the Delica … and gives me the OK … I will go down the private import path again and rely on the Japanese auctions rather than the unregulated import dealers here.

Hi Geoff, all good here, hope you’re well. Thinking of moving up to the next model series, I think its 2005 to 2008. Note the last one was 2003, it had 58,000 kms and is in great condition so you have set the bar high. Please let me know my prospects, thanks.

It’s been interesting watching the prices but my circumstances have changed and sadly I’m no longer in the market for an import at the moment.

However I’d like to thank you very much for your help and your time in answering all my queries – it’s much appreciated.

Anyone who wants to know about importing a car will always get a good word from me about Prestige Motorsport.

I have used your company before to import a MR-2 track car and have been more than happy since. I am now in the market for a EVO GT-A 2002. I would like to see what is around at the moment and prices in Japan.

This car is actually for my wife with the only requirement it being white. There are many “would like to have”, though i am sure these will be detailed over time. I would appreciate feedback regarding the process from here and look forward to doing business with you again.

I wanted to post up an honest review of my experience with the import process and Geoff.

I bought my car a few months ago now. I was pretty on top on what I wanted down to model, year, acceptable colours and even finding all the cars I wanted to bid on online by myself.

At 1AM on a Sunday morning after a few I was browsing the auction cars and I came to the decision I absolutely must bid on this car I found. I sent Geoff an email with enough details to get the ball rolling and then went to sleep.

First thing in the morning Geoff called me and the arrangements were made that he would broker my import and to bid on that car. I didn’t win that auction, but less than a week later I won at auction a top of the line model from the final year of production for a very reasonable price. In total I only had to make offers on 2 cars, however Geoff had a handful of cars checked out for me with very short notice.

Throughout the entire process Geoff has been very polite, honest, punctual, he always returns your calls, and will send messages and emails to make sure everything is OK and handled.

Geoff is a genuine automotive enthusiast. He has provided good advice on every part of the import process and worked with me to help me find and import exactly what I wanted.

If you think you want to import your own car I would highly suggest you get in touch with Geoff.

Just letting you know that the car arrived safely on Monday. Nothing was missing, but there were some scratches on the right front wheel. Not so bad considering the journey the car took.

Thanks for you help with everything.

The 2007 Nissan Skyline V36 350GT Type S sedan worked out really well. The W2 “paint wave” mentioned on the auction report is non-existent. I have polished the car and there is not a wave or anything. The rest of the car is very clean and well presented the interior still smells like new.  It is a very powerful car. The compliance workshop also did a very good job.

As for the 1988 Soarer turbo, that was the best made car I have owned !
